Landon Tymochko – The Vintage Planner
My two passions are financial planning and the wine business. This blog is my attempt to provide a place for those working in wine to learn about money, and how it can be used to make better wine, and better lives.
After graduating from college, and some time in the Army, I spent my early business career working in wine. I love it. The art of blending, the smell of fermentation, the technology, the people. It is one of the best businesses to be a part of. But then I discovered financial planning.
After a few years working for a large winery, I decided to get my MBA from UC Davis. (Where better for someone in the California wine business!) That’s where I was introduced to the world of finance and entrepreneurship. I soon discovered my second passion . . . personal financial planning. So I decided to pursue becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, taking classes and passing tests, and soon thereafter taking a job working as a financial planner.
Now that I have spent a few years working as a financial planner, it is time for me to blend what I’ve learned in both fields together . . . to start a conversation with those who spend their day making and perfecting their craft about the beautiful intersection of wine and money. Thus, Welcome to The Vintage Planner!
